Forgive my intrusion on this discussion (I am normally a silent and
infrequent monitor of this list), but if I understand correctly, the
discussion is about how to go about producing a standardized framework for
negotiating SLS which will lead to contractual SLA's between service
providers and customers right? Also you're considering the role of
modelling to represent a semantic model of the universe of discourse and
then possibly using XML as a data exchange and possibly storage format....
Well, in that case is it not reasonable to consider SLS/SLA negotiation as a
vertical market application of any eCommerce transaction and align with the
ebXML (http://www.ebxml.org/index.htm) efforts to create a standard
approach, framework and communication infrastructure for eCommerce?

    regards,
